https://ashiha.stikes-pialasakti.ac.id/index.php/as-shiha/article/view/111

Labor pain is one of the most prominent aspects and often causes discomfort to the mother during the labor process, especially during the first stage of the active phase. This study aims to determine the effect of warm compresses on reducing pain intensity in mothers giving birth at TPMB Hj. Yetti Latif S. ST. The research method used was quasi- experimental with a pre-test and post-test design without a control group. A total of 15 mothers giving birth during the first active phase were selected as respondents using an accidental sampling technique. Pain intensity was measured using a numerical scale before and after the warm compress intervention. The results of the study showed a significant reduction in pain intensity after administering a warm compress, with an average reduction in pain of 3 points on a numerical scale (p<0.05). The results of the univariate analysis found that 87% of women in labor experienced a reduction in labor pain in the first stage of the active phase from severe to moderate after applying a warm compress and 13% experienced a reduction from very severe to severe pain. Bivariate analysis found a p-value (p<0.05), meaning that there was a significant relationship between the effect of warm compresses and a decrease in the intensity of labor pain in the first active phase (p=0.001). The conclusion of this research is that warm compresses are effective in reducing the intensity of labor pain in the active phase of the first stage and can be one of the non-pharmacological interventions recommended in birthing facilities. The implementation of this method is expected to increase maternal comfort during labor and minimize the need for more invasive medical interventions.
HILDA HUMAIRAPRASETYANINGSIHHENDRO ZALMADANI

Ageing is a natural process that can cause deterioration of physiological functions, including urinary incontinence, which is the inability to control urine output in the elderly. This problem not only affects physical health, but also social and psychological. One effective non-pharmacological method to treat urinary incontinence is Kegel exercises. Kegel exercises can strengthen the pelvic floor muscles or pubococcygeal muscles so as to strengthen the urinary tract muscles. This study aims to determine the effect of Kegel exercises on urinary incontinence in the elderly at the Tresna Werdha Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin Social Home in 2024. This study uses quantitative methods with a Quasi experimental design without a control group. A total of 16 respondents were selected using purposive sampling technique. Before Kegel exercises, 56.3% of respondents experienced severe urinary incontinence. After Kegel exercises, the results showed that 68.8% of respondents experienced moderate urinary incontinence. Analysis using the Wilcoxon statistical test resulted in a p value = 0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant effect of Kegel exercises on reducing urinary incontinence. The conclusion of this study is that Kegel exercises can significantly improve the condition of urinary incontinence in the elderly, so it can be used as an effective alternative non-pharmacological intervention in the management of urinary incontinence problems in the elderly.
SILVIA SAVITRIMECHI SILVIA DORARAHMIWATI RAHMIWATI

This study explores the therapeutic dimensions in group counseling through the lens of psychoanalytic theory, focusing on the processes of socialization and interpersonal learning. A literature review of recent sources, including journal articles, books, and relevant dissertations, was conducted. The findings indicate that group cohesion, catharsis, and socialization play crucial roles in creating a therapeutic environment that supports individuals in addressing intrapsychic conflicts. Group cohesion fosters a sense of safety, while catharsis allows individuals to express repressed emotions. Additionally, the process of socialization and the imitation of positive behaviors from other group members aid individuals in transforming maladaptive behavioral patterns. These findings underscore the importance of leveraging group dynamics in counseling interventions to support personal growth and deeper self-understanding
LARASUCI ARINIYENI KARNELISETIADI SYARLI

The subject’s assessment data stated that pain in the anus and pain due to hemorrhoidal lumps were like being pricked with a pain scale of 4-6, felt intermittent or sometimes continuous, the subject’s expression grimaced in pain, the subject’s face looked tense, occasionally the subject held his anus, the subject could not sitting for too long and when sitting the subject often changes sitting position, there is a soft solid lump in the anus, the color of the lump is reddish. The nursing diagnosis is acute pain related to inflammation (hemorrhoids). Researchers carried out nursing actions for 7 days with 14 meetings. The last evaluation showed complaints of decreased pain, decreased grimaces, decreased anxiety. https://ashiha.stikes-pialasakti.ac.id/index.php/as-shiha/article/view/123

One of the problems that often occurs in breastfeeding mothers is the lack of knowledge about breastfeeding. Problems that are often experienced by mothers such as nipple blisters, breast milk dams, breast pain, causing mothers not to breastfeed their babies. This study aims to determine the relationship between breastfeeding techniques and the incidence of nipple blisters in postpartum women at PMB Hj. Yetti Latif S.ST in 2024. This research method uses quantitative research which is analytic in nature with a cross-sectional approach. This research was conducted in 1-29 August 2024. Univariate and Bivariate data processing using chi-square analysis. Statistical results of the chi-square test p value 0.000. Thus, there is a relationship between breastfeeding techniques and the incidence of nipple blisters in postpartum women at PMB Hj. Yetti Latif S.ST in 2024. It is expected that breastfeeding mothers should increase their knowledge and information about proper breastfeeding techniques through various sources of information in order to reduce the number of nipple blisters.
